About Global Gift Initiative
At Global Gift Initiative (GGI), we believe true change begins when compassion is paired with action. As a 501(c)(3) Humanitarian Diplomacy Organization, we are dedicated to empowering communities in crisis through proactive, hands-on programs that ignite hope and create lasting transformation. Whether it’s empowering children through education, supporting families facing medical or economic hardship, or responding to urgent humanitarian needs, our work is guided by dignity, transparency, and a spirit of global collaboration.
Our Story
Global Gift Initiative (GGI) was born from both the experience and vision of its founder, Manna Dabholkar. After more than a decade working within the nonprofit sector, with Fortune 500 charities, Manna witnessed both the strengths and shortcomings of philanthropy. She saw how giving was too often reactive, with donations pouring in only after disasters struck, instead of being used proactively to prevent hardship. She also observed the waste, inefficiency, and misuse of resources that weakened trust and impact.

From these lessons, GGI emerged: a lean, transparent, and impact-driven humanitarian organization designed to do philanthropy differently. We are proudly 100% volunteer-run, with every cent of every donation directed toward programs and services. Behind GGI is a small but mighty board of extraordinary individuals who give their time, resources, and hearts to our mission, and a team of volunteers who seek no recognition, only real change for their communities.
At its core, GGI is a movement to transform philanthropy from passive giving into active, preventive, and lasting impact.
