Acid attacks happen across the world, predominantly in Asia and South America but the United Kingdom has seen a surge of this previously unheard of phenomenon of acid attacks. In 2019, there were on an avergae 15 a week with the vast majority taking place in London. In most cases, the violence occurs against women, although acid violence against men has been on the rise in recent years. All too often it’s a crime that goes unreported and unpunished: survivors of acid attacks live in fear of reprisals for reporting the attack. The victims are punished by the society by discriminating against them due to their appearance and health problems brought on by the Acid Attack. Your donations allow us to navigate cases of Acid Attacks, bring the victims rehabilitation options across borders through international partnerships and advocate for stricter punishments for the perpetrators of this horrific crime.
